On 15th October, our Company Accepted 8th 2nd-generation 400K VLOC in Shanghai. Zhou Qin, general manager assistant of China Shougang International Trade & Engineering Corporation named the Vessel as MV “YUAN HUA HAI”. Hu Haibing, chief financial officer of our company, Huang Zhiqiang, vice-general manager of the company, and guests from Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd, China Classification Society and COSCO Ship Trading (BEIJING) Co., Ltd also attended the ceremony.

During the ceremony, Huang Zhiqiang gave a speech reviewing the good relations of cooperation between COSCO Shipping Bulk and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, and he extended sincere thanks to all parties’ contribution to MY YUAN HUA HAI’s building. He said COSCO Shipping bulk would continue to insist on strategy of  “Major Customer Oriented, Internationalized and Resource Integrated”, actively participate in “Belt and Road”, and strengthen the national sea power and maritime power. To march for constructing a global leading world-class dry bulk shipping company. COSCO Shipping bulk also seek for further corporation with clients from various fields, to realize new development, achieve new breakthrough and reach a win-win situation.

MV YUAN HUA HAI is the 8th of 10 2nd-generation of 400K VLOCs Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding built for COSCO Shipping Bulk, which is also 4th of 6 vessels built by YANGZHOU COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry. By accepting MV YUAN HUA HAI, the 400K fleet size of the company has reached 12, which would help the company to forge a more competitive bulk carrier fleet and provide better service to our clients. Also, with the expansion of our modern fleet, the company can make greater contributions in national strategies like “the Belt and Road”, strengthen the national sea power and maritime power.
