On July 17th, COSCO Shipping Bulk Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “COSCO Shipping Bulk” or “the Company”) signed a memorandum of cooperation with China Shougang International Trade & Engineering Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “CSGI”) in Beijing. Gu Jingsong, chairman and CEO of the Company, and Zhang Bingcheng, chairman of CSGI attended and witnessed the signing ceremony. Chen Yan, deputy general manager of the Company, and Yao Shun, deputy general manager of CSGI (in charge of the work), signed the memorandum of cooperation respectively on behalf of two parties. Hu Haibing, chief accountant of the Company, and relevant personnel from the marketing & project division, the chartering division and COSCO Shipping Bulk Beijing branch attended the ceremony.

During the conference after the signing ceremony, Gu Jingsong reviewed the friendly cooperation between two parties in the past, expressed his gratitude to CSGI for its long-term support, and introduced reform and development of the Company in recent years, plus the progress of major projects currently being arranged. He said that the signing of the memorandum of cooperation not only solved the problems left over by history, but also became an important measure for future cooperation and win-win development sought by both parties. It marks another solid step in the cooperation between two companies in the field of dry bulk transportation.
